For the first time ever, the NASCAR Cup Series is heading to St. Louis to race at the Global Tech Raceway, formerly known as The Gate.

But while the track is new to the Cup, many of these drivers have truck experience here, with Kevin Harvick, Bubba Wallace, Cole Caster, Christopher Bell, Justin Haley and Ross Chastain winning here in that series. Harvick plus Martin Truex Jr. and Kyle Busch and Brad Keselowski here at Xfinity.

Below are the files NASCAR DFS Selected Lineup for DraftKings and FanDuel this week. This slate is locked 6/5/22 3:40 PM ET. If you have any questions or want to talk about NASCAR, you can find me on Twitter at Tweet embed.

Kyle Larson

Fifteenth Starts – DraftKings $11,300 | FanDuel $14,000

The upside differential in Larson’s place is tempting, even if its price tag is a bit high.

Much like this field, Larson has no racing experience here. But when we talk about Kyle Larson, does it matter? This is a guy who can jump into an enemy car in a place he’s never been before and beat a bunch of dirty guys full time.

Larson had speed in practice. The 15th start gives him plenty of room to run on Sunday, even if he doesn’t have the same speed as the Penske and SHR cars showed.

Ryan Blaney

Fifth starts – DraftKings $9,600 | FanDuel $10,500

If you want to offer PD in this price range, you can go with William Byron ($9800, starts 24). But I would really like to have a Penske in my squad because of the speed the team has shown this weekend.

Practically speaking, Penske swept the top three, and Blaney came in second. In qualifying, the team put all three drivers in the top ten, and Blaney was the second fastest driver from the team again.

Still looking for his first win of the year, Blaney comes to a track where he raced once, in the Truck Series race again in 2014 where he finished seventh. If he can show the same pace on Sunday that he has shown all weekend, he will be in contention for the win.

Kevin Harvick

Twentieth Start – $3,500 from DraftKings | FanDuel 8000 dollars

Harvick has a really good track record here.

At Xfinity, he made five Gateway entries, winning twice. He drove more than half of the laps in three of the five rounds starting here in that series.

In trucks, Harvick got her start on three starts. The first two came back in the ’90s and didn’t have great gear, but his 2010 start in his own truck saw him lead 143 from 160 laps en route to victory.

Harvick didn’t have the same pace this weekend as his teammates Chase Briscoe and Aric Almirola, but Ford as a whole looked good. I expect Harvick to get some spots on Sunday.

Chase Briscoe

First starts – DraftKings $7,800 | FanDuel 8500 dollars

It’s obviously risky to play a polesitter when he’s not one of the series’ elite drivers. But you also don’t usually get a polesitter for that price.

Having finished 11th in practice, Briscoe jumped to the top of the board in the playoffs. He has momentum after finishing fourth last week and should be able to drive some laps early.

A downside here is that if anything happens to Briscoe, the negative place differential kills your formations, so don’t hit it. But it’s a nice splash play.

(Oh, he was second here at the start of the lone truck series, driving 88 of 160 laps.)

Bubba Wallace

Eighteenth Starts – DraftKings $6,700 | FanDuel $5500

Wallace had midfield speed in both training and qualifying. But 23XI showed improvement as the season went on, with Wallace showing speed ahead of a mechanic around the halfway point from the 600 last week. He finished 10th in Kansas.

Bubba raced here in 2014 in the Truck Series, qualified second, led 85 laps and win. Being 1 vs 1 here in terms of winning is definitely something I keep in mind, given that most of this field has no recent Gateway experience.

Zane Smith

32nd Place – DraftKings Starts at $5,400 | FanDuel 4000 dollars

Lots of potential value here with Smith, who is driving 17th this weekend because Chris Bucher has COVID-19. Smith was 26th fastest, then qualified 32nd.

But Ford was fast this weekend, and Smith’s teammate Brad Keselowski qualified 19th. Smith may not have modified this car yet.

What has been modified to is this track, where the Truck Series race ran on Saturday. Smith drove 16 laps and finished ninth, having a bit of trouble late which prevented him from vying for the win. That experience should come in handy on Sunday.
