The result was highlighted in a randomized divided facial clinic Experiencetitled The efficacy of a radiofrequency device for rejuvenating aging skin at home: a randomized clinical trial of splitting the face.Published in the journal Dermatology and Therapy.
“With the aging population and the demands of their consumption, methods of reducing skin aging have gained great interest. For decades, there has been an ongoing debate about the optimal treatment for skin aging. Radiofrequency (RF) is an important ablation method and has become a popular method for rejuvenation and prevention of localized fat loss and restoration. the shape , ” Researchers wrote.
To test their hypothesis, the team analyzed the skins of 32 healthy Chinese women between the ages of 35 and 60 with crow’s feet in a randomized, controlled, split-faced trial over 12 weeks. Five repeated measurements were made, and the participants also agreed to avoid exposure to sunlight during the experiment.
One side of the person’s face will be randomly selected to be the “experimental side” and treated with the RF beauty machine by the team, while the other side was considered a control and treated with anti-aging cosmetics.
Anti-aging cosmetics contains aqua, glycerin, nicotinamide, palmitoyl pentapeptide-4, ceratonia silica(Carob) fruit extract, sodium hyaluronate and tocopheryl acetate. The RF device was used with a gel containing various ingredients such as glycerol, vitamin A palmitate, tocopherol, sodium hyaluronate, ceramide 6 II, Aloe barbadensisfoliage extract, Salix albabark extract, Indian chrysanthemumextract and Perilla ocymoidesLeaves extract.
Results were measured using facial and neck markers, such as forehead wrinkles, crow’s feet, density of pigment spots, and ptosis. Lower scores correspond to better complexion. Participants also had to undergo self-assessment.
the findings
For the crow’s feet, on the experimental face side (using the RF device), the mean roughness showed a statistically significant decrease after the second, fourth, eighth, and 12thThe tenthweek.
As for skin hydration, the mean values increased on both sides after the fourth, eighth and 12The tenthA week of treatment but there was no significant difference between the two sides after treatment.
Skin irradiance was measured by the luminosity value of light reflectance using a Glossymeter GL200, with statistical improvements observed on both sides at the same timings. However, there was a significant increase in the experimental side compared to the control side.
Explaining the results, the researchers showed that 12 weeks of continuous use of the cosmetics increased skin moisture content and radiance, improved wrinkles and reduced color spots. However, wrinkles, spots, and skin thickness improved more on the device side than on the control side.
Although the gel on the side of the device contains more active ingredients than cosmetic, the gel has only been applied to the area when the device is in use and washed off immediately after use. The purpose of the gel was to achieve even thermal conductivity.
“In the future, it is necessary to ensure that home beauty devices are safe enough to protect consumers, and their efficacy must be fully evaluated. In addition, future studies should include long-term follow-up to investigate the long-term efficacy of home beauty devices and their continued effect,”The researchers concluded.
Ecolite Wellbeing (GD) provided RF home beauty devices for the study and funded the magazine’s express service fee.
