Multitasking has always been a struggle on macOS, and with Ventura, Apple is making major improvements. The operating system comes with a new feature known as Stage Manager. It’s on the left side of your Mac’s screen and can organize your open windows and apps, so you can focus on what you’re working on.

It’s a big change from the current system, where if you minimize an app or send it to the background, you may end up losing focus on it. The app gets buried behind what you’re working on or becomes stuck in the dock, out of focus.

The new stage manager works similarly to Snap groups feature in Windows 11 in the Windows taskbar. You can group windows together in this area when working on projects and bring them up as needed from the left side of your screen. You can also switch between other windows using Stage Manager as well, and send content from your desktop to an application using that application’s Stage Manager shortcut.

Additionally, you will be able to schedule emails and cancel the message after pressing the send button. Other than that, there’s an improved Spotlight, which features cleaner navigation, faster performance, and the ability to deliver FaceTime calls from Mac to iPhone. Don’t forget the password management system for the new digital keys and gaming experiences. There’s even a new color grading feature that ensures your Mac and iPad remain fully compatible with those whose work relies on that resolution.
