If you’re headed on a long trip, spending time in a seasonal home, or away, here’s a smart way to save money: Pause your cable and internet. Yes, you can do that and retain many of your service privileges.

If you upgrade to Seasonal Internet Access, you’ll still be able to control your smart devices at home while you’re away, too. There is no call-back fee, and you will not need a service call upon return.

If you are using Spectrum, use Seasonal condition Option to suspend TV, Internet and Voice services for a monthly fee. You can do this for two to nine months.

It keeps your phone number, e-mail address, voice mail, Spectrum TV, Internet or other audio devices. You’ll still be able to access your account to pay your bill online and check email, voicemail, and account status – but you won’t be able to access the internet for the duration of your seasonal status. Your services will resume without a technician’s visit when you return home.

You will either need to provide a forwarding address for billing purposes or sign up for an automatic subscription payment in a seasonal state. You can put your account into seasonal status once every 12 months.

Cox seasonal program It allows you to pause your services and keep all your devices starting at $9.99 per month. No reconnection fee or tech visit necessary to get you up and running again like other options.

You may suspend your Services for a minimum of 30 days and a maximum of nine consecutive months. You can plan up to twice each year, with a 30-day break between pauses.


AT&T’s leave contract Allows you to pause your internet, phone, or U-verse TV service. If you suspend all three, you’ll still have access to your email IDs to use AT&T’s Wi-Fi while you’re away. You will keep your number and can receive calls and access voicemail.

AT&T charges $7 per month for each service you suspend. You can use Vacation Hold twice a year for two to nine months.
