Anyone can use Google’s AI to practice interviews
This piece of artificial intelligence is called “friendly interviewA simple yet powerful program that you can use to practice common interview questions for different careers. Google currently has six different types of jobs to choose from, including data analytics, e-commerce, IT support, project management, UX design, and general (in the case of Mismatch of the previous five job types with your job.) When you first choose a career to practice interviewing for, you will be greeted with a series of five common interview questions for the role. Using your voice or the keyboard, you can respond to these questions as you see fit. How Google’s AI is helping you strengthen your interviewing skills
For job-related terminology, “interview warm-up” sings out any words you used in your answer that are believed to apply to the job you are interviewing for. For example, when rehearsing for a ‘general’ position, you have highlighted my use of the word ‘focus’. You can also click the “See All Terms” button to take a look at the program’s dictionary of terms related to the job it is looking for. If any of them pop up to you as being closely related to the role you’re trying to disable, keep them in memory.
Most-used words is another helpful section, which highlights any terms you frequently use. Interview Warmup emphasizes repeated words aren’t necessarily a bad thing, especially if they pertain to the position; however, it’s good to take a look to see if you’re unknowingly using the same unnecessary word over and over.
Finally, we have talking points: Interview Warmup scans your answer for anything that seems to fall into either experience, skills, lessons learned, goals, or interest. In my answer, the program only spotted a sentence that applied to lessons learned, so I suppose I need to work on my talking points. For each category, you can see examples of the types of talking points you could include in your answer. For experience, you could mention previous roles or education, while for goals you could talk about what success means to you.
You can review this information at the end of each answer, and edit your responses accordingly. However, once you go through all five questions, you’ll be able to review all your responses at once, and take a look at the whole “interview“ from a zoomed out perspective. Don’t be afraid to go through the experience again, either. While the program only gives you five questions at a time, it has way more than that in the bank:
